Dance & Movement Research 2024, Monday 15 January to Friday 19 January at the Old Fire Station Arts Centre, Oxford is a week of exploration in dance and movement for creative artists and dance artists organised by Oxford Contact Dance.
You can join these strands of movement research:
- Residuals – combining dance making and mark making ;
- Body Mod – using temporary body modifications to explore movement and dance ie mobility. Note: not cosmetic nor permanent!
- Or bring your own ideas – let’s talk.
You should have some practice in contact improvisation as this will be the basis of our research together.
The week is divided into morning and afternoon sessions during working hours (10am– 5pm) and you should be able to attend for at least a whole morning or afternoon, possibly more.
There’s no charge to participate. Please apply explaining your dance background; motivation; and availability. Thank-you.
