I visited Summertown Morris in Oxford on Wednesday 10 January to see them practicing a Morris dance called ‘Valentine’.
It’s an all women dance troop and I filmed them as research for the Morris Remade project. Naomi Morris is one of the dancers in the Summertown Morris dancers which also includes her sister too. Naomi is my dance partner for the Morris remade project which combines contact improvisation and Morris dancing in a series of sketches.
